What is Winsy?
Winsy is a lightweight desktop application that lets you apply helpful Windows tweaks with a clean and intuitive interface. Whether you want to improve system performance, keep it quiet, or customize the experience, Winsy makes it easy. At least that is the plan since it's it's alpha stage for now, but it works. Tested by my beloved friends and family, it is safe to use. Winsy is built with Python and Tkinter, ensuring a smooth user experience without any ads or telemetry. This serves also as a project for me to learn Python, Tkinter, ttkbootstrap and PyQt6, so expect more features in the future. I’m transitioning from education to tech with a long-term goal of working in bioinformatics. I’m currently self-training in software engineering and building real-world projects.

Usage
Download the executable and run it, no installation is necesarry
Use checkboxes to enable or disable tweaks
All changes are optional and reversible
The app shows which tweaks are already active when launched
Current version: 0.6 – little note: ⚠️ This app is submitted to Microsoft for review to reduce false positives. Still, Windows Defender may flag it. It is safe to use.
Licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL) version 3 or later. You are free to distribute, modify, or even sell the software, as long as you comply with the GPLv3 license. Winsy is produced in a 100% transparent manner, using a Python-based toolchain and built in a Windows environment with open-source libraries such as tkinter and ttkbootstrap.
